gravity hot water

I haven't had any responses in "Find a contractor". I am in S.E. Ct. and need to replace my boiler in a gravity hot water system. I have talked to a number of local installers with a very wide variety of opinions on what way to go. One installer in particular has strongly recomended going with a Peerless over all others due to the high mass of my system, especially due to the 2inch in and out pipes in my system. He also did not recomend an indirect hot water heater or any other additional zones. His theory is to keep it very simple, which is tempting.
One option is I may be able to purchase a Buderus type boiler seperately and would like to find an installer willing to install it.
Am I foolish in thinking someone out there would be willing to install without providing the boiler, and if there was someone willing, would I be foolish even if they claim they will and can install it.

Would you bring your own bacon and eggs to a restaurant ?

I would strongly recommend letting your installer buy the equitment... Say you buy the wrong parts , the installer will be sitting around getting paid while you are running around exchanging for the correct parts needed. Or how about if the boiler is a leaker , are you going to pay the installer twice ?The same goes for any defective parts on the system... You will be taking all the risks...

Buderus boilers far superior to any american boiler. Their web site is a good source of info.
