Canadian stainless threads

I've had trouble getting a good seal between the threads on the Canadian made stainless steel storage tanks (both A&R and TAM - Advanced Metalpres) and cast Bronze fittings. I read somewhere that there would be less potential for corrosion by using bronze between the stainless and the copper. In a closed loop system is it OK to put a copper fitting on the stainless tank? Will this be easier to seal? Are there other fittings that work better? Is there any tricks to making a good seal?

Brad, we use Weil Mclain Plus tanks and Phase III tanks a lot (same tank). We use plain old copper by female adapters on the nipples out the top of the tank with no problem. Use a high quality teflon tape for several wraps and a good pipe dope. Should work fine for you.
Stainless is so hard and smooth that it's difficult to get the dope to "adhere" to the threads. Make sure the threads are clean and free of any manufacturing oil or lubricant before doping...
