Potable PEX question (PAH)
Dave Yates (PAH)

I was asked if a customer can expect similar mineral build-up inside of PEX that they currently experience with metal piping.
I never gave that much thought & when I stopped to contemplate his question, I don't recall seeing a mineral build-up in other plastic (PVC, CPVC, poly, etc) piping and fittings.
Have any of you experienced mineral build-up with well-water systems & PEX???

Pex
I've seen iron build up inside pex on well systems with very high iron content, before the iron removal system.

that and
the bio-films common to potable piping systems, but I don't recall ever seeing hard water calcium scaling build-up in PEX or other plastic systems. That's what the customer is asking about.
When do the votes get counted for the RPA???
