Old Hoffman valve

To fix an old radiator in my old house, my heating contractor would very much like to find an exact, functioning replacement for the original part: a Hoffman No. 7 adjustable modulating valve (manufactured circa 1926-27). It's for a vapor (or vacuum) system. Of course these are long out of production, and Mr. Holohan told my contractor he cannot lay his hands on one, either.
Can anyone help us? My contractor (Bob Ward of W&W Heating Service in Danbury/West Redding, CT) doesn't have e-mail or use the Internet, so I offered to post the message. If you would like to talk to him about this, I'll be happy to give you his phone number. Otherwise, e-mail me with the info. Thanks!
