Looking for radiant contractor in Great Lakes region

Two of us. Both in the same direction.

Yes Jerky will give you combustible gas. The Death Valley variety is killer stuff. The problems that arise when using it in your car involve all sorts of things a hydronics guy is familiar with. I'm sure I could pipe it somehow. I'd have to debate whether to solder or crimp the inlet fitting though.(Grin Grin)

    For a NEWS' feature article

We (The NEWS) are running a focus issue on Radiant Heating in our October 13th issue. I'd like to visit a contractor in the Great Lakes region (driving distance from Detroit area) who would like to show off a new radiant installation and do a bit of "bragging" for my article. Any takers?

    Just finished

A two temp, seven zone, Climate Panel/ Vitodens/ Radson radiator job in a log home.(But if you drove up here you'd probably run out of gas.) Seriously some of the stuff in this house is way cool. How about a granite bowl on a cedar stump for a bathroom sink. We heated the wall in that room. A stair rail made of tree trunks and branches. Or maybe the heated marble shower (human wash) in the master bath. Or.......... maybe you should just pick on someone else(grin)

    Steve

You supply the jerky -- I'll supply the gas. Or will the jerky give me gas? Oh well, say the word and I'll fill up the tank.

    Projects.

    John,
I have several projects you could look at. We are doing one right now that is using a outdoor wood boiler with a boiler back up in the basement. We just finished a commerical building slab on grade with a Vitodens Combi unit. My company is located in Bay City.

Driving distance from Detroit?Above the bridge?

    John,
If you care to venture above the Bridge to Marquette, I believe our company Pro-Therm Mechanical, could display a
    nicely done radiant job.

    Thanks

I'd like to try Steve and Mike in one day. Ross, I'd like to take a raincheck and visit you sometime next year, okay? I love the U.P. and would prefer to have a little more time to spend a few days.
