On a hot water heating system, should the circulating pumps be on the return or the supply side of the system?
If you replace a 40 year old boiler (input MBH 130)in a home, do you need to replace the piping and pumps in a zoned heat system? Should you install an air eliminator, low water cut-off, and reset control?

What you need is Dan's book "Pumping Away" . Check the link up in the pipe, then go to the book section , third page , $20 good deal.... To answer you questions ..Yes and a reset is recommended by most0 -
yes
Henry,
In a word - yes. When I bid replacement boilers, I always include those changes & I take the time to explain why to the owners. More often than not, that makes us the high bid. For those homeowners who want the job done right, price becomes secondary.
