Mike Gordon/ Revolution Question

I installed a Burnham Revolution today. I installed an aquastat on the piping going to the infloor to communicate with the injection pump (guess I thought I needed it) and controll supply temp to floor. Then I went to the wiring diagram 'cause I couldn't find anywhere to hook it up. Called the local Burnham Rep (Bill @ McCoy) and he said "Ya, you need it, just run the burner wire through that aquastat". Makes absolutely no sense to me. The burner already has it's own aquastat, I think this aquastat need to communicate with the injection pump to shut it down to control floor temp. How could a revolution work without this aquastat? How else can I have controll to temp going to the floor? Hope somebody can help, Jack Spotts

The only thing I can say is....
Mike Gordon no longer works for Burnham. Now if this was a Bradford White question, you'd be in the right pew. Mike moved on. Now Glen Stanton, HE'S the Burnham man...

The rep is right, wire it thru the burner, take the connections going to the roll out and add the aquastat there. you want the injection pump to work with the boiler control. We have wired all our revolutions this way0 -
I'll be darned!

To establish a system limit for this boiler you do indeed wire the auxillary aquastat through the flame rollout circuit. Look right in behind the gas valve and you will find a pair of blue wires with male/female quick disconnects. These tie in the flame rollout switch. Simply fish in a pair of thermostat leads from your secondary aquastat and crimp on a male and a female spade connection disconnect on those leads. Then unplug one of the blue wire connections (doesn't matter which one) and connect the aquastat wires in series. This will shut down the burner but keep the boiler injection pump and system pump (if only one) active when the system temperature is reached. Hope this helps and a picture is posted below.
