my oldest off at college for her first year at RIT in Rochester NY. Felt kinda strange her not getting in the car with us to go home. Had some thoughts on the 6 hr trip home that reflected over the last 18 years. Boy do they go fast.

Long time ago (it seems)

Our's started fifth and third grades last week. It seems like so long ago since they stepped into the pre-school building. They grow up too fast! Sadly, their old pre-school ceased operations this fall. Once the popular teachers left, enrollment declined. It proves the old theory that people make a business -- in this case the teachers made the pre-school successful.

Yeah I remember

walking my daughter to her first day of Kintergarden. Holding on to her little hand and waiting in the all purpose room until the teachers came to take them away. One of the little boy's was making a fuss at the thought of leaving without Mommy. I remember my daughter giving me a look that said "what's up with him" and took off with no problem. Now she's a young lady on her way to total independence. Like the song says, "I don't remember growing older, when did they?" WW
