    Lin,

    as you are probably aware, Johns Manville had a fire at a major manufacturing plant. I work for a good size plumbing contractor in Worcester, Ma and all of our insulating contractors have warned us that the problem is quite serious and may be with us for a while.

    We are having a problem with insulation. Our insulation contractors said the factory burnt down.They are using armaflex.

    Johns Manville's

    plant burned down and it has caused a huge backlog, at least here in the New England area. Most of our insulating sub-contractors are having difficulty getting enough stock just for the jobs we currently have.

    One of the trade magazines ran an article in the August edition that claimed piping stock was adaquate but that is not proving to be the case.
