John Wood heaters
We've installed several oil fired units with great success. The only problem I've had is with one that stopped delivery hot water. Not the hot part, the water part. A piece of the foam insulation apparently got in the tank and plugged the hot water outlet. I managed to retrieve it and when I saw the compnay VP @ the NEFI show, I gave it to him and he immediately told me to "send him the bill", which I did, and they paid it immediately. Now that's service!Standing behind your product goes a very long way in my book. Use them with confidence, no problems here to date!

ehhh..
think Ford, MD. Remember those? OK unit, not the most efficient 'specially top flue. Rear flue doesn't like low draft=back-up at sight door. Wassa matter? Bock giving ya trouble?
Better than Aero by far tho!

go for it
I've done about 25 with good results, rear, top flue. Brock is a good heater too.Just takes getting used to the weird squared shape. Dave0 -
Sorry guys, I was talking for gas applications
Don't do alot of oil, and if I do, it is always a bock - I think the best. I'm not very happy with the service and support on the BIG THree A.O. Smith (with the exception of this nice lady Karen Smith who has been trying to help me), Rheem, and Bradford-White. I heard that AO Smith is making them is Mexico. John Wood is suppossedly made in USA, but I'll have to verify that. Also, they don't charge a handling charge on warranty tank leaks and they don't giver you a hard time on a labor reimbursement. Thanks for the input.Mad Dog0
