here is
on of the modules from Siggys new software. It allows you to basically build a system. Select the pump from a menu of B&G, Armstronng, Grundfos, Taco.
Select the PAB (pressure activated bypass valve) brand and size switch it on or off. Turn zones on or off with the toggle.
Build your heat emitters from a menu of various brands and sizes of baseboard, radiant slabs, gypcrete, or plates above or below.
Add balance valves and adjust them! All inputs show the change in flow and pressure drop. Pretty cool and very user friendly.

For an eye opener!
plug some figures into the pipe loss calculator. Chose different air temperatures and insulation thickness and type.
I modeled some 1-1/4" near boiler piping, in this example. Maybe I should have uped the flow rate

I downloaded the demo
a few days ago. I must have played around with it for 3 or 4 hours. Plugging in different baseboards, different pipe sizes and seeing the temperature drops. Really amazing. I am waiting for my "full copy" now. Took all of about 30 seconds to make that decision. Seems like a really amazing tool. And the neat part is there may be more added. I cant wait to see what is next. Now all I need to do is find a screen saver that "trims out" a boiler as it sits, maybe start with an old steam, then to gravity hot water, and move on up through the years to a nice condensing boielr with a raidiant system, with an indirect
