Slant Fin recomends you feed their boilers with hot water. Mc Donnell Miller makes one of their Unimatch water feeders that can be fed with 170 degree water. Also check out the Billy and the Baker story under Hot Tech Topics on this web sight.

Scaling up an automatic water feeded aside, I don't see manually feeding a steam boiler with heated water all that evil.

Autofeed
Not if you have someone attending to the boiler 24/7 and you are willing to pay. It sounds like a dangerous proposition to entertain. With the reliabilty of automatic feeders (as long as they are maintained) why would you manually feed?0
