The guys at Avenir Software have donated a free registered version of LoopCad (www.loopcad.com) worth $395.00 (US) to be put up for auction here on "The Wall" to help us raise money for a great cause.

We will donate the money to the AHRC. It goes to Camp Loyaltown in upstate New York. A lot of elderly parents can't afford to send their grown retarded children to camp, and that's why we help.

Post your bid here. Cut off time is 9pm EDT Friday, June 13th. High bidder makes the check out to the charity, send it to me, I'll forward it to the charity and the high bidder will receive the CD-ROM from Avenir. Robert Lasorko will give you all the registration numbers you'll need.

It's a great deal! You get some pretty slick software and get to help a worthwhile cause at the same time.

Does it get any better than that?

Check with your accountant about whether you can take this as a charitable donation.

    This is so appreciated.

Missy goes to that camp. We pay her way each year but so many of the seniors on fixed incomes can't afford to send their adult children who are retarded. You should see the faces on these people when they get on the bus. WE should be so happy.

The money we raise from the screen sweepers also goes to Camp Loyaltown.

    Information about LoopCad

The thanks goes to Robert and Brad from Avenir and to Dan for the opportunity for the Wetheads to help a good cause.

Just so you know what you're getting for your donation, I swiped the blurb from LoopCad's website.

"It’s new, it’s here and it really works! LoopCAD is the software that will help you create professional quality circuit layout drawings faster than you ever believed possible.

You’ll be amazed when you see radiant circuits drawn automatically by LoopCAD – single serpentine, double serpentine, double serpentine with a fill region, perimeter heating, and in-joist patterns. And if the automated patterns don’t suit your needs exactly, then simply edit the circuits or draw your own in freehand mode. LoopCAD provides specialized tools to make freehand circuit drawing incredibly fast too.

LoopCAD is a completely stand-alone program. No other programs are required, but LoopCAD is also AutoCAD* compatible. Easily import existing AutoCAD floor plan drawings, and quickly export completed circuit designs to AutoCAD or DXF files. LoopCAD also gives you tools to create your own floor plan drawings in just minutes.

LoopCAD is easy to learn – prior CAD experience is not required."

    Put 'er here, pal! 8-)

Just put your bid right here on the wall. It's an open auction.

I was going to bid, but I already have it on my systems. I suppose I could give it for a Christmas present, but who'd want to wait until December for use it?

    Not that I need

Another computer program, but I've only used up 26% of a 13 gig HD. (Remember when one gig was hot stuff?)

    I'll go $125.00 USD.

    I'd love to go,

But the bride said once was enough.

The comment was something like "Been there, met the people, that's enough." She didn't even get a T-shirt!

    Hey Jeff!

Get this software and you can ditch the rest of it and make ALL kinds of room on that hdd.

I remember when the first 100 meg hdd came out and I was impressed. Then again, my processor was 33mHz.

We run two 160 gB and four 80 gB hdd drives with 1.5 gB of RAM and sometimes I think that's not enough!

    I am really glad.....

...to hear that. I know the guys at FIA and I can only speak in the highest tones of them.
So things have been good for you? I haven't heard from you in a while. You know, thats probably the only downside about my job. I only get to hear from people when they have a problem :)
But that always means that NO news are GOOD news.
Good to see you're still online.

    Fear not, Dan.

The two 160's are just for backing up the four 80's.

Remember when we used to all stand around our cars and talk about cubic inches and horsepower? Now it's ROM and RAM. (sigh) I think I'm getting old.

    That is true

You always get the "Aw S@*t" they alwasy get the "Atta boys" I know what you mean. I haven't seen you around for a while. I wasnt sure you were still there. One of the supply houses I work a lot with sent a couple of their people up to FIA, the one I deal with came back a ball of fire. Very charged up about the Tekmar Line. He had a very positive experiance with FIA. Good news, bad news thing. He wants to sell a Tekmar for a one zone heating system in a cottage, however, not everyone is ready for that yet.

    One more thing $300.

    Chuck

    Swansea

is tucked away in the Southern corner of Massachusetts. It's the GasNetworks bash on June 26. Chuck will be there and I don't think I have to sleep with him this time. It's in the Upcoming Seminars section to your left.

W-3 is in Denver on September 20. Love to have you there too. I'm twisting Chuck's arm for that one but I think he's thinking Vegas and ISH a couple of weeks later.

Vegas, what the heck do they have to offer!

I mean compared to Wetstock III?

    What do you mean?

I have a wife and two daughters who justify their shopping in Canada by the exchange rate. It doesn't matter they already have 10 of the darned things. They got it on sale and with the great exchange rate.

That "savings" is sending me to the poor house. Geesh!

    Vegas is...

...a tough place. I'll be there for ISH too, but if I can, I'll make it definitely to W-3 this time. Have to check schedule.
I won't be able to make it to Swansea, unfortunately.

    Thanks for the invitation

    Yeah....

...for you it works out. Now, I have to go all the way to Mexico to go shopping. Its the only place in North America where my exchange rate is not that bad.

Well, If I had to buy LoopCAD, rather than attaining it at this auction (Help me Chuck!), I'd actually be better off buying it in the US. Right now, I could buy it for 395US or 545$CDN. With todays exchange rate, 395US$ are only worth 533$CDN. ;)

No, I am not cheap. Just doin' the math :)

Its mighty good to see soo many people do soo many good deeds on this site. God bless' you all.
