What is the proper spacing for closely spaced tee's for 1" branches off 2" main?

as close as possible
but not more than 12"Retired and loving it.0 -
I think
The rule of thumb is no more than 4 pipe diameters apart. Example: If your main loop is 2" it would be 8". Like Dan said, the closer the better. Use the 4 diameter rule as a worst case.0 -
between sets
isn't there also a minimum distance between the return from one set and the supply from the next set?

No, there isn't
At least not that I've ever heard of, Mark. The goal is to eliminate pressure drop in the common piping. Each circuit stands on its own once you've done that and spacing between circuits shouldn't be an issue.Retired and loving it.0 -
I found it
Here's a posting from the wall a while back:

Nobody ever disagreed so I assumed it was correct :-)

That applies
only where the secondary flow is greater than the primary flow.Retired and loving it.0
