Old Water Heater

Were touring over the 4th of July holiday and I saw this old water heater. The other people on the tour were asking what this was. I smiled and told them. I also explained how it worked. One of the other people on the tour said I wasn't old enough to have been an inmate or a guard. I smiled and told her that hot water was a big part of my business.

My beautiful bride shook her head when I told her I was going to take a picture of the tank. The things our ladies go through.

BTW, this was in the shower area at Alcatraz in San Francisco Bay.

    ???

I didn't know what it was called. I knew how it worked, or at least everyone thought I did.

Alcatraz, Been there, love that island!!
If anyone makes it to San Francisco, ALcatraz is a must. The smell of the foliage, the salt water, and the feeling of such a place stuck in such a wonderful corner of the world. I think the best thing for the parks dept to do would be to put a motel or casino on the island, somehow without disturbing the real look. Maybe I could get a hotel pkg and stay in one of their secure rooms for the night....
Been there, done that, even got the Tshirt, but would love the chance for a return trip.
