How's the noise level on those Armstrongs? Is that Jass tank a Tam product still? Too bad you don't have a "glamor" shot of that HX like the Germans use. You need to find a good HX stylist/ photographer :)

This little condenser ends up with 4 zones plus the indirect. This week they want to shower. Dan

Nice work, Dan. I like the way you paint the pipe and air scoop to match the boiler. I may have to "borrow" some of your ideas. -DF

Nice work
Why the swing check on the indirect instead of a flow check ?

Checks
Do you think it will make a difference? I opt for swing, spring or flo checks interchangably with mostly swings in horizontal apps. That E8 circ won't even notice. Dan

Bits & pieces
The exp. tank is "Conbraco" the tubing is "Kitec" the indirect is a "Jass 40" and the circs are "Armstrong" E8's and Astro 30. These are mostly stocked by our local wholesalers.

Most days I'd have green circs too - this job came along just as the good people at Armstrong sent me couple of their new "E8" circs to try. So far I like them - the curve is close to the Grundfos 26-99 or the Taco 0011. 2 amp with vented casing, not wet rotor. Dan

Thanks HR, The E8 circs are quite polite and smooth on startup. The Armstrong flange bolts are a little long when using either shutoff or freedom flanges - they'll bottom out on the housing. The Jass products are still the same Tam products but renamed ( www.metalpres.ca ) .
Do you suppose the German artists practiced with the HXs of other brands before doing that beautiful cutaway of their own products? Dan

heat exchangers and sex appeal
now there's a concept. Actually, once all of the beatiful women finish making the gorgeous components of our glamorous heat exchanger, we have famous painters come in and make flattering renditions of our heat exchangers in action.
Do you believe me? Leave it to the article of comparisson to point out the differences....what a killjoy. Never said the equipment offered up was not good, only that it was not the same. A picture is worth a thousand....posts on the wall.
Working on the Lord's day, another concept.
