    I wasn't able to tune in last night (HVTV) but I'll be sure catch the archives. I'm looking forward to it.

    Can you help me get in touch with Ed Bratton or maybe Joe Mower? I'm looking for a Steam speaker for the Hudson Valley Chaper of the American Society of Home Inspector's Historic Homes Seminar. Sept 9 or 10. There's no money in it but there's the hotel room paid for and the seminar attendance is given to the speakers.

    Steamhead is unavailable (darn it).

    Historic Homes seminar for home inspectors!

    Around here the inspectors love to bad-mouth neat old stuff like pocket doors and push-button light switches.

    Like my dad said, there's "good old" and "bad old" and the trick is knowing the difference.

    Arlene is a wonderful person who does many things for a lot of people. I'm wondering if there's a nearby contractor who is smart when it comes to old houses and steam systems. That person could spend a delightful couple of hours with the home inspectors.

    It's great networking. These are good people who could probably help bring you new business.

    You'll get to talk about what you love in front of a group of eager, enthusiastic people.

    You don't have to be a professional speaker. They'll want to know how things work, what to look out for, how to tell how old something it, and what condition it's in.

    It might lead to a new career!

    You will have done something selfless, and many rewards come to the person who does something selfless.

    So, can I get a voluteer for Arlene Puentes?
