Until I got to my junior and senior years of high school I hated English class, then I was lucky enough to have a teacher who actually made it fun to learn. I started to enjoy the class and actually learned enough English to qualify for college. Lack of $$$$ convinced me to take my apprenticeship and go into the trades.
Trust me I have had some boreing instructors over the years but always have enjoyed the challenges and friends I have made thoughout the years.
The real leaders in our industry don't force feed their own agendas on us, they instead share knowledge and experience willfully for all to benefit. Chief Wethead has proven time and time again that he can take a technical field such as ours and with his whimsical ways actually teach us.
Your last column in PM magazine was great Dan, my only concern is that you may be approached by the Erma Brombeck (sp?) publisher to start writing common sense books that are a joy to read. Your talents are appreciated.Keep up the great work!
