Meeker Mansion-PaulP

I can verify that there is a hydronics G-d, and he was watching over me. After 31/2 years of negotiation, ART finally completed the sale and contract to restore the heating system in the Ezra Meeker residence in Puyallup, WA., near Tacoma. The home is on the National Register of Historic Sites and is currently a museum. Mr. Meeker made his fortune in hops, and was known as the "Hop King". He also popularized the Oregon Trail and was responsible for its recognition by Congress. He crossed it 5 times in his lifetime...3 times by covered wagon, once by automobile in 1915 and by a biplane in 1924. He died in 1927. The home was constructed in 1880 and is a 17 room Italianate Victorian mansion. We'll be putting in a Viessmann boiler system using 2- staged boilers and revalving the existing radiators. We'll also install 7 antique radiators in rooms that were never heated. We'll post the project on the ART website as we proceed with the work. BTW, we were the highest bid of 9 other contractors. Never say it can't be done...remember Dan's picture of the bottled water dispenser next to the water fountain...
