A picture is worth a thousand words...

Luxury house in the country.... $1 Million

Three luxury cars.... $150,000

Leaving town during a cold Wisconsin winter without turning off the water pipes in your garage............

PRICELESS!!!

The heat system would never have frozen

if it were steam. That's one of the things I like about steam heat. Now, the water pipes might freeze, but it's a whole lot easier and more comfortable to fix them if you can start up the heat system right away.

    I'll bet Holohan

Could make a 10 minute funny training sequence just on this picture. Now I'm thinking did I really turn off the pump circuit at my place in Cable (NW Wisc)? Great picture, the insurance mans nightmare.

At least they are AAA approved. Wonder what they would do "Yes, I need a man to come out. I seem to be stuck in the ice."

Believe that the claim would be denied by many/most insurance policies!

While damage from a "sudden and catastrophic" leak is usually covered it must been discovered RAPIDLY and if the HO was away for an extended period, it will likely be denied.
