Senco
Use 11/4" staples they hold better in subfloor. Look in phone book for senco or air tools. We buy here local from a small hardware store, they also have repair parts. Have the 2 PW guns for over 22 years and have had very little problems. More Problems with renting them out, never get the same air fitting back. John0 -

Will the Wirsbo staples fit, if so I would think they would be the cheapest.

Stick with Senco brand
www.senco.com or 800-543-4596. I called Senco once, looking for 3/4" coil nails, and they led me to dealers in my area, as well as stocking warehouses and the number of boxes in inventory at each location!
I tried generic brands and they tend to jam and have less holding power. Use the 1-1/4" length.

Thanks guys
I went to the Senco site and found everyting and even an instruction manual, which I promptly printed out. I always have the best intentions with my tools before I drop them off a roof or leave them up in a ceiling. Anyways I see I am supplosed to put 5 to 10 drops of pneumatic oil down the tube before I use it. How does this match up with practical knowledge. Can you tell when you need more oil or do you just keep doing it blindly?? Thanks for any insight. WW

You'll know!
when it get too dry. It gets sluggish on the rebound, may even stick. It's not a bad idea to give 'er a few drops of pneumatic gun oil every use, maybe at the end of the day. Lots of moisture in compressed air, it ends up in the cylinder of the gun! A few drops down the air hose connection 'ill do.
For extended day long use look into a moisture trap (they make small throw aways for paint spray guns) and possibly an automatic oiler. Or even a combo unit. Drain the compressor tanks regularly also. Find 'em all in the Graingers catalog, or other pneumatic suppliers. Protect that investment, it will last many years!

Senco Staples
Wayne,
Most major builders supply places will carry the 1x1-1/4 staples - caould also try a roofing supply since that is the original intent for the tool. I just picked up a box of 10K today. Yes - keep your pneumatic nailers lubed with 4-5 drops of air tool oil every 3-4 hours of use. If you use too much it will just shoot out the exhaust and make a mess.
Best regards
