I'm involved with a residential project that has a boiler and tank specified for domestic hot water and a seperate boiler for radiant heat. What, if any, are the benefits and or drawbacks of combining these 2 functions by using a Munchkin w/a Super Stor tank and primary/secondary piping schematic.

Lots of things to consider?
Cost of one boiler, venting, gas line etc. instead of two? A good reason!
Only reason I can think of to use a dedicated boiler for potable H2O is when the potable demand would be inordinately larger the the heat demand for the building, which is not entirely uncommon in commercial apps.
One benefit to using munchkin and indirect is that the modulation would allow for some mismatching of the two demands.
