    Actually that model isn't Amerigas

It's an American Appliance water heater made by Sabh Corporation Their web address is www.americanwaterheater.com

The model you mention is not a powervent model. It's just the model of older (pre-1992) gas fired (natural gas, from this model number), five year tank warranty, foam insulated, 40 gallon, atmospherically vented (3" vent). The 5 at the end of your model probably is an S and it would mean that the unit is a "stubby" (about 48" tall instead of 60"). Power vented models would start with PV and I can't even remember if they made one back then. Even if they did, they never have made one that was a stubby. All power vented units are tall (over 56"). There are after market products that are available to convert to power venting, but I wouldn't recommend them for stubbys.

    Good luck with your quest.
