    olde drain cleaner

Ammonia is the answer, but make very sure you get rid of the chlorine tab first. Ammonia and chlorine don't mix and we don't need any more dead old plumbers. There aren't enough to go around as it is.
Why mess with ammonia? If you're a professional plumber, there are all kinds of good quality drain cleaners available to do the work. Be safe and buy some.Don't forget a good pair of rubber gloves and some eye protection while your at it!!!!!

I worked in a food store once

when they told one of the grocery clerks to wash the floor. He went into one of the aisles and came out with a gallon of ammonia and a gallon of Clorox bleach. He then poured both into a mop bucket. The chemical reaction was quite impressive! He nearly killed everyone in the store and it took the Fire Department to straighten it all out.

    WMD's

right on the shelf, free for the takin'!!!!

I take it "chemistry" was not the clerks strongest subject in school!?!?!

It amazes me that more people aren't killed.

    CRS

    John:

CRS means can't remember stuff. The rest of the chemists have ruled out amonia, which can be a byproduct of urine. Try some vinegar, or non-nickle safe ice machine cleaner. Vitamine "C" is what I learned to clean ice machines with, so it might work too.

    Would "Murph" know?

    This guy

went on to murder a woman and her two children. He was a twin and his brother was perfectly normal.

Just another part of the famous Hicksville High School Class of '67. We had everything from murderers to famous heart surgeons to Billy Joel. There were 1,500 kids in that graduating class. Baby Boomers.

    try

a few table spoons of "Tang". Orange flavored breakfast drink. I don't care for it for much else, but have used it to clean the inside of dishwashers. Don't know why it wouldn't have the same reaction as vitamin C. Or see if you can find a bottle of citric acid, and mix with water. It will smell a lot better than many other things.

Thats what cause's the problem, well maybe beer more than anything.

I was told vinegar, but we use sizzle. Cleans it right out.

    Dan,

was Bill O'Reilly part of that class also? He mentions going to school with Billy Joel but not a murderer or the guru of Wet Heads. His loss.

If yes, was he as opinionated then as now?

    Will try the ammonia

in my bar urinals--have tried almost everything else but still have to use the snake regularly.

Swear it has a backpitch but don't want to tear out the tile to find out...the contractor who did the place (called himself a plumber & electrician as well) just loved to make backpitches. When I renovated behind the bar (think liquids around) found that the receptacles he had installed were two circuits fed off a 12-3 WITHOUT GROUND wire--the ground wires of the 12-2 that connnected to the receptacles were loose at the other end!

    and the answer is.........

    ......White Vinegar!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally got ahold of the guy who had told me about it a few years ago, and he confirmed the vinegar.

Don't know why, but it somehow reacts with the "goo" and helps to break it up and flush it away.

The client in question owns a bar on Kelleys Island - 1/2 hour ferry boat ride one way, and 30 bucks for a tech and a van. I was trying to help him avoid future emergency calls.

I believe that \"GOO\" is called Albumin

    - a protein found in urine...like scott said sizzle or sulfuric acid helps but we've have some that we just has tto replace urinal and pipe. Mad Dog
