Boiler replacement in a closet

In a beautiful basement , with a bar , pool table , office , and wrap around couch with a big screen TV - all within 20 feet of the boiler room doors . Makes me wonder all the time why the design of most houses doesnt include a separate room for all the mechanicals - maybe even a separate entrance . The other 2 pics are of the entrance into the basement - the only way to get the new Burnham down this way was to carry it , so we went another way .

  • I think this was a V85

but I cant remember . It was 7 zones icluding a Phase 3 indirect , so we had 2 days to complete it - this was after day one with me , Dave and Brian . We only carry up to a 6 zone relay , so for a priority we use the single relay - these Taco controls are very versatile .
  • Beautiful Job Ron

That was a lot of work to do in a single day. Great job once again!

    Nice job Ron.

I think we should start calling Ron "Shoehorn"!

There's just no other way to decribe what you do , with the allotted space .(being able to make it look nice is cream!) Great work ! Chris

    Hey Shoehorn

What do you do for combustion air in a semi-enclosed space like that?

    GREAT WORK as usual!!
  • This was a job

where everything was falling into place . I was suprised at how far we got . Thanks Glenn .
  • Hey , \" Shoehorn \"

is alot better than what I've been called before . But I would take a nice , big , open basement in a hot second . Thank you Chris .
  • There was a louvre vent

cut in to the left - where the indirect is sitting . I think it was around 2 by 5 - combined with the gap around the folding doors , it should be plenty . Thank you Steve .

    nice work ron

i like the way you utilized those 4 way tees to dispurse the manifolds.
    very nice work
    jim f.
  • Yes , those 4 way tees

do come in handy . I asked about trying the manifolds from Lee Brooks , but it fell on deaf ears . Thank you Jim .

What's the big deal here Ron?

Compared to the space you are used too, all three guys could fit in there! LOL John@Reliable
