My Brother sent me these pictures, he says he thinks it is some kind of domestic recirc contraption. Has anyone seen one of these? And can you tell me how it works. Thanks

    You can do that yourself

Just point your cursor to the lower-right-hand corner of the photo and click on the box that appears there.
    Retired and loving it.

A guess from the cheese gallery!

Is it a side arm tank piped from a tankless coil.I believe it is used for storage.

    what is it?????

Another guess and just that not knowing what it's hooked to, but looks like a chemical feed tank. Is there a removable plug in the top? There should be isolation valves on the lines so you can isolate from the system and add things like anti-freeze, close the plug and open the valves. System circulation will draw out the additive and mix within the system.
    Again, just a guess.......

I don't know what it is

I really don't know what it is. My brother called and said that, this thing that he was told was a domestic recirc canister, was leaking and wanted to know how to bypass it.
If he turns the ballvalve to it off it shuts off the hot water to his kitchen sink. I told him to remove it and install a check valve if he didnt get straight hot water.
So I guess I will have him keep it so I can take it apart and see what makes it tick. Any other thoughts.
