In New England we have only two seasons ....

Winter and August..... Looks like they missed August that year.

    \"Year Without a Summer\"

It's been a crappy, cool Spring so far in Michigan. But it pales in comparison to the "non-summer" experienced in upper News England back in 1816. Here is an excerpt from the link below:

"Around noon on August 20, a violent thunderstorm with strong winds passed over Amherst, New Hampshire. In the wake of this storm line, the temperature plummeted nearly 30 Fo. Frosty temperatures were reported east to Portland, Maine and south to East Windsor. From Warren, New Hampshire came word of snow on Mt Moosilauke. The cold destroyed the corn in low-lying areas between Albany and Boston where crops were already suffering severely from the drought."

    Count your blessings, eh?

    We're lucky in WNY !

    We have 4 seasons!!!
    Almost Winter
    Winter
    STILL Winter
    Construction (aka "hole patch" season)
Guess which one we're in now!
Have done 4 EMERGENCY replacements in the last 2 weeks so I'm not complaining. Did phenomenal AC last year.
    And so the pendulum swings.
