    REMS threaders and tools

are considered among the finest made in Germany. Ergonomic and long lasting. Check out the video clip I did on the tools at HVACTV.com at ISH Toronto.

The REMs threader is great for small jobs and 2" is a breeze to thread. The REMS is also handy if you have to thread a pipe hanging in the air, just be careful of the torque and use plenty of lube spray. For big jobs, nothing beats the Ridgid 300.

Where did you purchase it? I've been to a couple of sites and prices are a wide swing one to another. Thanks Dave

    Remembering old REMS

I had the smaller Amigo (up to 1-1/4") nice tool but really struggled with 1-1/4 size, and would often trip the reset inside. Although I now own a Rigid 600 and it, too, struggles with 1-1/4"

I hear the Amigo 2 is a kick butt threader, even with 2" I also had a REMS Tornado ( guess I shouldn't say that word) It is the Rigid 300 competitor. Very, very nice machine! Well designed and extremely quiet with a sealed, low rpm motor. Nice wheeled rack also.

Also had a couple Nipplespanners that would hold the pipe from the inside to make your own close nipples and custom sized short nipples. Handy, nice way to use up short pipe scraps and fill in work for the guys on slow days.

I rediscovered REMS at ISH Toronto last fall. Since then I have purchased these items. The Curvo and expander work nicely together, having a lot of fun bending. The pliers grip like crazy but a bit heavy and cumbersome.

I have a wish list an arms length long! I like the small T drill tool they have and the Hot Dog electric soldering pliers.

Nice to find tool in steel cases again :)

I;ve been buying tools from Colonial Tool at 800.345.TOOL or blackbookoftools.com. They have good prices and best of all, knowledgeable sales people. The stuff is shipped immediatly, they can tell you if the tool is in stock or not. They have Ridgid and Rems.
