Pressure test Manifold?

I am pressure testing my manifold for radiant tubing prior to it being installed. I am having issues though. No matter what I do the pressure gauge I am using is leaking. I am using a 1/4" gauge off my compressor to test. I have the following

3/4 ball valve then a 3/4 tee with the gauge on top with a reducer and then I have my 4 port manifold with ball valves on each supply line closed. Every time I fill with air there is pinhole leaks coming from the gauge connection to the 3/4 male threading.

I tried another HD gauge but all I can find is for water. Is there something cheap I can use to test this I just need it for the 24 hour pressure test when the mud is laid.

Do I really need to teflon wrap these fittings as its air coming through? Am I putting to much pressure in the manifold with no tubing installed and it can't handle it?>

HELP..

Thanks
