Buderous muffler

How quiet is that thing does it make noticable difference?? Seems like it would work but I'd like some feedback Thanx.

    It goes on the flue pipe to quiet down chimney noise, us oil guys refer to it as the dreaded "Riello Roar". On some installs you can stand next to the boiler and it's quiet but go upstairs and noise gets transfered through the fireplace walls from the flue. It's supposed to quiet that down

    That's a new one on me. Not a lot of oil around here. Is it a Riello part or a Buderus part? Aftermarket type supplier?

    Never heard of it myself.

    nd we do lots of Reillo and Buderus, and have found them to be at least twice as quite as a Weil Mc or other boilers.
