especially her single Aunt, I couldn't even keep track of all the toys. I did notice a lot of Clifford the Big Red Dog items, and some Bob the Builder too. Excellent little party for her on Sunday.

    Time flies

Yup, the little guy is a big guy today -- ten years old. We are very proud of him, even if he roots for the Chowdaheads!

Ryan's biggest hero now is Piston center Ben Wallace. And how can you argue with that? Wallace is an idol here in Motown, the epitome of hard work and determination, with no need for fanfare. Too bad more athletes -- like Big Ben -- can't set good examples for kids.

    Happy birthday, Ryan.

If he's anything like his Dad, he'll be just fine.

Role models are so important, he's on the right track.

Brian, with 32 & 6 yr old girls. (but you know all about that story, don't you, John) Thanks for the copies of the Dec' News. One of them has pride-of-place on my Mom's "photo-wall". You made an old Lady very happy, thanks.

    Brian.

This is my two daughters; Marieke (from New Zealand) & Autumn, meeting for the first time. Priceless.

    Hug your kids.

    Happy Birthday

Tell him to get a girlfriend. She won't let him down as often as the Sox will :).

Time does fly. Have a great day with him.

My youngest turned 18 on the first of this month. When you get married before you know any better, that's what happens.

    And to Chelsie, too

Excellent Glenn, happy birthday to your daughter. Barbies? Bratz? Ryan got one thing: GameBoy Advanced SP. He can't put it down.

Hey Ryan! Turn off the lights and go to sleep!
  • Happy Birthday Ryan

John you are old when your grandson is graduating from high school and turning eighteen. Now that is old.

This is a pivotal time in a boys life, I was just his age when my Dad was killed by a drunk driver. It is very hard to grow up without a Father. Ryan is blessed to have you for a Father.

Enjoy them now these are the best years. My son still talks about all the years he and his friend next door could not beat me in a basketball game in the front of our house. Then one night I think I had just turned 40 they were both 15 years old by now. I knew my days were numbered. That night they finally beat me. We had a crowd of about 50 neighbours in the street to witness this monumental event.
Both those boys talk about that often. My wife used to say why don't you just let them beat you. I told her are you kidding I want to win while I still can. After that night I seemed to get beat much more often. Solution play them one on one instead of both of them. After that I was back on the winning track.

My son said to me the other night as he kissed me and gave me a hug, "Dad you and Michael Jordan are the greatest" Well now that made my day.

Enjoy John and spend as much time as you can with them you will never regret it.

    You are so right

With all of the craziness in this world, I cherish every moment I have with my kids, Timmie.

Just watching him take the mound as his baseball team's starting pitcher and watching my eight-year-old daughter glide across the stage as a very talented dancer makes me the proudest Daddy of them all.

I know time willl pass quickly -- I'm enjoying every minute!

    Tell your \"big man\"

    that I said Happy Birthday.

My son will turn 7 in July. I was just changin' his diapers yesterday wasn't I?

I took him turkey hunting this past Sunday. When he walked in front of me in his camo I was struck by how fast my "little man" was becoming my "big man".

It is why we do what we do. It stopped being about "us" when they arrived. I defy anyone to look into their childs eyes and tell me there is no God.

    Happy Birthday Ryan!!!

    I remember

David Yates making a comment that he had a cigar in his desk draw from when his son was born.

That cigar is 16 years old ( older now I think, right Dave ).

    Time FLYs by.
