Pistons vs. Sixers - Food Wager

I'll bet a loaded-up Lafayette Coney Island Dog versus a Philly Cheese Steak if anyone is interested. I like my Pistons, but it will take seven again to polish off A.I. and the Philly bad boys.

id love to take it, however if for some reason i lost , id feel really bad because shipping of a philly cheesesteak wouldnt do justice to any of the great local purveyors around here. they never even resemble the real thing once reheated!0 -
Agreed...
To both the bet and the issue of mailing a Philly Cheese Steak. I bet the hot dog wouldn't look too great after a couple days in the mail either :-)
How about we meet somewhere, and from the "Philly" side we provide said food plus Yuengling Lager (in Pa. anyway)? My house will be available...
By the way, the only "bad boy" look besides A.I. is Big Ben in this series...reminds me of Dr. J circa 1976 or so...love that 'fro!
Take Care, PJO0 -
Okay
I'll pack the dog in dry ice. On second thought, I won't. We'll be coming out on top. Actually, I'll be in Hershey on May 18-20 for the NAOHSM meeting. You can drive over with your Cheesesteak then!0 -
I'd love to,
except the idea of cold hot dogs and cheesesteaks doesn't sound all that appealing. Besides, the Nets will beat them both like rented mules. Plus, the best cheesesteaks in the world come out of Hoboken N.J.anyhow. Wouldn't want to eat second rate stuff out of Philly. Is there even any good food of any kind in Detroit? Detroit cheesesteak? No. Detroit wings? No. Detroit strip steak? Never heard of it. However, I would be willing to meet on the Coney Island boards for some Nathans originals. Or in Hoboken to show you guys what a REAL cheesesteak is supposed to taste like. Now thats eats! GO NETS ! GO DEVILS !! Are the Flyers in the playoffs this year???? How 'bout the Red Wings? Just wondering.0 -
At ease Tom
Down boy. It is not nice to boast until after your team has won. Just ask Tracy McGrady.0 -
Sorry 'bout that
John. I guess I'm just a little over enthusiastic when it comes to this stuff. The thought of those Nathans makes me all jerky. I can taste 'em already. We're all a little nuts down here as the usually hapless Nets have taken the next step. After they finish Boston off we'll talk some more about the food deal. If they lose I'll be the first one to mail you those dogs (or a Hoboken cheesesteak). The choice will be yours.0 -
Big Ben
With this guy, anything is possible.0
