Argo Mini Boilers

I'm getting bids on a basement slab over pour system of about 900 square feet. I can't decide whether to go with a combo water heater or a seperate dedicated heat source. (I know about the Combi-Cor problems) One contractor has specified an 9kw Argo Mini Boiler. I can't seem to find any reliabilty or cost-of-operation information on the Argo units. Do any of you have any experience with the Argo line? Is there a better electric unit for this type of application? Thanks in advance for any responses.

    Do a heat loss calculation

37000 btu's seems a little big for a room of only 900 Sq. feet

    Try a Seisco, it modulates.

www.seisco.com makes a neat little modulating electric water heater that is mfg approved for radiant floor apps. Very cool to watch the ammeter. I have seen them in the 28kW size modulate down to 10A on a heating app. The smallest one is 9kW and would only draw the power it needed to do the job at a very reasonable cost to boot. If you happen to be in the NW I can supply them, otherwise check the website.
