When I started this thing, I did it hoping that everyone would understand that it doesn't matter if you suuport those in our nation who make the decissions, or if you support their decissions. What matters is that you support our sons, daugthers, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, friends etc.............

OK Jack and all. As you look out across that field (the future site of a super rite-aid) You can see 270 flags. Each flag has a yellow ribbon on it. On each ribbon is the name of a current soldier or a vet. We even have one out there who was recently wounded. As a prior service whose brother was in Gulf War and who also volunteered to re-up at that point, I thought we needed to make it clear to EVERYONE that no matter how you feel about the situation that we care about our people. The response has been overwhelming. We have had donations come in from all over our area and of course will accept any more that come. My biggest hope is that before we are done, that we will have to make the site bigger to accomodate more flags. When our local VFW heard they immediately jumped on board and have been great help. The only request that they had was that the flags be in neat rows(for any of you who know me, you know that they didn't need to ask). It essentially looks like a "baby Arlington". Looking at the flags from any angle generates a very appealing optic sensation. And to those of us who have laid it on the line before, it may cause our eyeballs to perspire........ God bless those who are and those who have served. And God Bless America!
