Vertical pipe supports

a Buderus Radiator. The Wall behind it is 1/2 drywall over a 1/2 inch air space over brick. There is not enough space behind the wall to run the water lines. I must run the water lines from a bulkhead above the wall down the front of the wall, to the right side of the radiator. I am using 1/2 inch copper. What's the best way to support the vertical copper and still have it look nice.

    Noel is correct

there is avaliable double expansion devices that hold great in brick and motar. Thing is to drill that stuff without "Hammering" just use a carbide tipped drill. I'd use the 1/4-20 in bolt size drill two holes and use a 1/2 ' copper riser clamp to hold it. You could cut off the riser calmps long legs and just yset the bolts.
    Anyway

    How about .....

Van Hangers. At least thats what we call them here. Its like a split ring / two hole strap cross, at the pipe but has "bell housing" that acts as spacer and support. "Copper clad" construction. Comes wilth a long copper screw that you would use in to the gyp board.

    Makes a nice looking job.
