UV lights are used on air systems
Hot water and steam systems don't use them.
Try a Hot Air web site, like this one...

I have used
The light sold by Field Controls. Easy to install and maintain.
The biggest problem I see is getting the homeowner to have that expensive bulb replaced every year.0 -
UV's
Honeywell's models are the UV100A1000,1018 &1059. The first two are designed to be installed in the return air duct of a forced air or hydroair heating/cooling system. The UV100A1059 is designed to be used in the cooling coil area of a forced air, hydroair or heatpump system. It's primary job is to kill any slime, algae or mold that may grow on the moist cooling coils or in a drain pan that doesn't drain completely. Go to www.honeywell.com/yourhome and type in UV100A for more information. These are restricted items available from Honeywell PerfectClimate or Enviracaire Elite distributors only.0 -
most drain pans in hot air units arent rated for use with uv light. they can be damaged if the light is too close0
