In gas control speak what does having a control with a certified/proved ignitor system mean?

    It means it was

    certified by some testing lab such as UL, ETL, AGA or any other testing lab that tests in accordance with ANSI Standards.

    Controls are certified. Equipment is approved.

    Others may know more on this I am sure some of the manufacturers who post here could expand on all that is involved.
