By the way, did you take any pictures for show & tell? Or would you rather plead the 5th to protect the innocent?

Thanks to
Paul and Nadine Lessard, Gary Wallace and Cheryl, and Chuck Shaw for making the Harvard Square project happen yesterday. And thanks to the wonderful people at GasNetworks for providing the 75-gallon A.O. Smith water heater.
Thanks to Heatermon for the big box of metal and liquid goodies, all of which was put to VERY good use.
Thanks to Cheese for the donation of the faucet. Much appreciated.
Paul, Gary and Chuck piped the heater, fixed all the leaks that were there already, repaired all the faucets and toilets in all the baths, even fixed the stove. I had a vicarious work experience and even got dirty!
It was a great time for a very good cause (Habitat for Colleen, et. al), and the party afterward (and during) was even better.
You all did a good thing yesterday. Thanks so much for being there for me.Retired and loving it.0 -
Outstanding!
Wishing I could have joined in the fray(G). You must be one happy Pappa. Your daughters are doing you proud. They are making a very nice mark upon the worlds they influence. We should all be so blessed.

What great daughters!
Dan and Marianne are blessed -- as are their daughters. An outstanding family. It shows what happens when people make the effort to succeed. And it shows what good things happen when so many want to lend a hand.
I am reminded of a neat saying I heard recently:
"Never be afraid to try something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark; professionals built the Titanic."

Even more outstanding, John,
are our friends. Thanks.Retired and loving it.0 -
My favorite part of the day
was during the lunch break when we were sitting around with the college kids and the guys start having the classic plumber's conversation: What was the craziest thing you ever pulled out of a toilet?Retired and loving it.0 -
humnmnnnn
Can't be said in a public forum, but let's just say the lady was quite embarrased!
There was the time it was a night deposit bag & the tenant went straight to the police and turned himself in. Stolen from the fast food joint where he worked - previously.
Or the apartment full of stoned-out-of-their-minds drug addicts & a used hypodermic rig. Glad I didn't **** my finger on that one. They were afraid I'd tell the landlord, so they paid for the service call themselves.

Dan didn't even get his hair mussed up!!!!0 -
