I am trying to find some baseboard radiators to replace a standing radiator in a residential home. This is for a friend of mine who lives in the north and I don,t know or see to much radiators down here in the south. Any advise on who or where to look would be greatly appreciated.

Dale, does your friend have
a hot-water or steam system?
If this is a hot-water system, the baseboard must be sized using the same water temperature the rest of the system uses. Otherwise you will get too much or too little heat.
If it's a steam system, it must be piped carefully or it will bang, spit and not heat. See Dan's book "The Lost Art of Steam Heating" for details.
Also, the new baseboard should be the same material as the old radiator. Cast-iron behaves very differently than fin-tube and it's not a good idea to mix the two.
