with the flo check on the feed or return??Pensotti blue line shows flow check on feed and return w/no S/S tank and Flo check on return with 1..Is the flo check best b4 the cir. or aft.?! Any1 have input on the Blue Line!Did my 1st with my son last week.Took a pick came out great,would post if the site still took pics! Thankyou for your help...Richard

    have the flow checks at the discharge side of the circ. Flow restristing devices on nthe inlet side of the circ may set up a cavitation problem.

    ghost flow paranoia?

    Actually I have been using Grundfos circ pumps with the built in flow checks. So far so good. They seem to hold well enough to allow pump change outs without discharge isolation, an added bonus! A number of pump manufactures are offering small circ pumps with intergral flow checks. Saves some plumbing, and eliminates potential "chatter" problems sometimes associated with weighted type flow checks. Just another way to address the problem.


    In some instances it could be possible for some heat flow backwards up the return side when the pump is not running. I guess this could be their thoughts with two flow checks? Ask 'em.
