Combo boiler???

What are some thoughts on these combo boilers like the trinity or veissman that will do on-demand domestic water also? Can they supply enough hot water for a comfortable shower or bath? What is the typical water temp. for a shower? If a 2.5 GPM shower head is used, that is a mixture of hot and cold. What would you say the breakdown of that flow is in hot and cold? Would it just be better to use a boiler and indirect tank? Trying to get some ideas on a future system for my home. Thanks.

    Viessmann Vitodens

gives you 2.1 gpm of 135f DHW or about 3.5 gpm at mixed point. good for a shower head and a few gpm's left.
    Hope that helps.

    Baxi Combo, Luna 310

Take a look at the BAXI LUNA 310, this will give you 3.3 gpm, at the same mix ratio it will be able to run two showers at the same time, or one shower and some left over to do something else. Visit our web site.

    Boiler DHW

Small families/homes or apartments are great with the 150Mbtu sized combination boilers. Hot tubs, 100 gal. baths or third bathrooms beg for an indirect. Use the data in the Burnham "Heating Helper" for quick and dirty science. Dan

    i suppose...

another option to give you the extra hot water would be to add a booster tank and a bronze circ. to the tankless side not an indirect but it gives you the headstart. kpc
