Hey what information is out there for consumers to cross reference fuel cost between forced air and radiant panels. I have had many requests in the last months for this kind of info. Thanks Dusty

    Why Cost ?

Cost is the least of a customers worries . Over the long run , aren't we selling them comfort ?

I ,personally wouldn't even consider W/A after living with it once . Yes , it's quick to heat a floor/zone, but at what cost down the road? Humidifiers that sit stagnant and unused about 1/2 the year with 0 maintenance,(health issues) dry skin and getting shocked every time you touch something .

How about selling them a system that will last longer than most new furnaces, give them the comfort that they deserve in the largest expenditure that most people will make in their entire lives .(not to mention the added advantage of only having 1 appliance to service/repair when/if something does go wrong).

Like I said , after living with warm air 1 time, I'd trade any furnace for a boiler and some emitters at any cost . Comfort rules ! Chris

Doc, I have heard of a couple ongoing projects

but the results aren't in yet. Watch the Wall- I'm sure they will end up here.

Meanwhile, I'll second JCA's post, and add that if a system produces greater comfort levels you can run it at lower temperatures, saving fuel.
