The Compassion Center

a radiant floor at a place called The Compassion center. It is a place being built by a charity that when completed will be a free center for grief counseling. The counseling rooms are all ceramic tile. The great room has high ceilings and a fireplace. Out back are gardens and a pond for quiet beauty and meditation. They were supplied all of the radiant floor materials for free in the spirit of Charity by Wirsbo. All of the copper tubing and fittings were donated by local distributors, Fergeson-Lens, and Noland supply. The couple building the center put the tubing in themselves with help from volunteers but needed someone to pipe it into their hot water supply with proper circulation and controls. (Who Me?) I used Tacos PC705 control with an EXP circ board, (all supplied to the charity for free by another generous company Taco. The tubing all came into the basement all willy nilly looking like a Sunday morning haircut after a night out drinking Bahama Mamas.(my favorite Sat. night beverage) It was a challenge to tie it all up and have it look neat. It was a pleasure working with these generous and giving people. The selfless people who have given their lives to build this place remind me of the homeless activist Mitch Snyder whom I met while air balancing the DC shelter for the homeless in DC some 17 years ago. I will try and send some pics. Sorry, no chrome plated mounting boards on this job. :) WW

Thanks for using Taco Wayne.
Next job I'll stop by with some "Taco-Green" paint for the mounting board. Maybe the "Taco-Brown" would give better contrast! Nice work. Like the AOS too.

Sharp eyes there Mike
to pick up the AO Smith cyclone. It is the main hot water source, over 200,00 btu's. They also have on old WM oil fired boiler in the loop. Everything is installed hodge podge as the donations came in. The mechanical room should have a sign, "Work done by Patchwork Quilt Mechanical"
