Yes , but it would be easier to buy Dan's book EDR(Every Darn Radiator) Nice tool and a great book when your retrofitting old homes. I would recomend it..Has all the numbers for all the radiators and convectors...

    Sizing Heaters

    How do you measure the square footage of Equivalent Direct Radiation (EDR)? I have seen this number in regards to radiators and unit heaters. Is it just the surface area of the radiator or the fins on a unit heater? Thanks for the help.
