that's an old oldie, but a goodie!
on the serious side of things, i think that the words of mr. celluci, the american ambassador to canada, are very significant.
he commented last week that the american administration, and people were upset with canada's lack of support for the action in iraq. also saying that when senior cabinet ministers in our government say disparaging remarks about your president, and are not rebuked by the prime minister, this is very disturbing.
but he also went on to say that, next to the brits and the aussies, canada actually has the fourth largest force committed to the action, with our 4 naval cruisers patrolling in the gulf, and the extra troops that we sent to afghanastan just weeks before the war started.
also, another controversy rocking our national government, is that there are actually, 31 canadian regulars, who are in the theatre, by way of exchange programmes. a woman solder from quebec, in a telephone conversation with her parents, let them know that she is driving a tank with the famed british rats regiment.
there are also stories in our papers about some brit and american regulars, who are canadian, but after witnessing the deplorable condition of our services, joined these other armies.
i know that this is not much, but to millions of canadians like me, it is the only thing that we can hang our hats on.
every day i am amazed by the forthright and honourable way that the coalition forces are striving to maintain the diginity of the iraqui citizenship. your guys and gals are making everyone who is on your side proud!

announcement
It was announced today that Canada is now prepared to help the US in its war against terrorism. They have promised to commit 2 of their largest battleships, 6000 armed troops and 60 fighter jets. However, after the exchange rate is applied, that comes down to a canoe, 2 Mounties and a flying squirrel.0 -

Moose
Alaska can provide all the moose necessary for preventing terrorist operations. Just make sure it's not hunting season when they are needed. They seem to disappear from our streets and back yards for that time.
