Boiler
My customer said the local oil company stated that the boiler was fine and they did not need a new one.The high limit is set at 200* and the low at 190* and the tankless is clogged. The oil truck comes once a month.I am changing this pile of ***** update to follow.

Now there's one for the hall of shame! I'm glad they were wise enough to contact a professional such as yourself. Some companies just don't understand if they saved their customer some fuel dollars that would reap more customers wanting to deal with them! Ultimately this would increase there overall fuel sales. What a novel thought eh?

That oil company
probably wonders why its customers suddenly drop them after conferring with a real heating professional. What a mess! Too bad they don't have any stickers on that boiler showing their name- potential customers would run away as fast as they could after seeing that photo, and rightly so.
Challenge to Wallsters: Let's see some real clean, well-cared-for oil-fired boilers, especially those that are not brand new. I'll start with my own, 20 years young Burnham V-14, maintained by Carroll-Independent of Baltimore (their oil techs are better combustion men than me). The second one is another Burnham but I can't remember which oil company maintains it- we redid the near-boiler piping. They had some humidity problems in this basement which have since been corrected- this caused the "tracks" on the cast-iron.

Beautiful!
an old Ideal steamer, still running nicely. I'm not that much up on Carlins, is that their original flame-retention model?
