Can anyone tell me what extra head loss is accociated with a monoflow system (diverter tees), as compared to a conventiallly piped system?

The pressure drop
of the tees is cumulative. The more you have, the worse it gets.Retired and loving it.0 -
Pump sizing?
yes, I understand the cumulative, but do I have to add a certain percentage for the extra head loss from the tees? Or are there head loss charts for the tees so that I can properly size a pump?0 -
B&G
has the charts. Pressure drop will vary depending on the flow rate.Retired and loving it.0 -

And if you call thier distributor they will send you the system sizer for FREE, it's a great tool for designing any hydronic system. In Chicago if you call ITT they will refer you to Bornquist and if you ask for an engineer he will send you one, or maybe they gave me mine for free so I would stop calling, either way check it out!0 -
Thanks guys
I'll do that. Bill0 -
Go to www.bellgossett.com...
and request one by e-mail. I requested one about six months ago and got the system sizer wheel no questions asked in about a week.
