Can I cap a MONOFLO TEE?

I have to remove a cast iron radiator from my single pipe system. I know I can cap the regular Tee on that radiator.

My question is can I do the same for the monoflo tee or do I have to completely cut out the monoflo tee and put in a coupling. Will it screw up the rest of my system if I do not totally get rid of the Monoflo Tee. Thanks

    Monoflow

Anthony, Instead of capping the regular tee and removing the diverter tee just connect the two. If you cap the monoflow tee you give the water in the system only one option to go instead of two like it had before. That one path also happens to have a large restriction in it, the one that was once used to divert flow to the radiator. By connecting the two tees the water still can split and rejoin in the regular tee at full flow, everybody wins.

    momoflo tee

you must replace the tee with a coupling or you will reduce the amount of flow in your main.
