Solaroll

I have to do a hydronic heating system assessment which has main components of a steel tube boiler and RFH system. The tubing that was installed I believe had the trade name "Solaroll". I think that it is an EPDM product, consisting of two 3/8" tubes linked together. I am aware that there will be an oxygen permeation thing going on, the problem is getting that across to the customer. Does anybody know of any articles on this topic? I then could perhaps relay these on to the customer making my explanation a bit clearer.
Thanks as always, Ian

    EPDM

At one point in time, Besi Corp./ Bio Energy Systems Inc., had developed or was selling under their brand name, an oxygen barrier radiant tube, because of the failure of their "Radiant Roll" tubing. This "Radiant Roll" tube was the same EPDM that was being used in their solar collector applications. I did a "Radiant Roll" system for a Vetrinary clinic in 1979,using their product with 5 tubes on the roll, it was before they had the radiant roll, it failed and had to be put on a heat exchanger. I have not seen anything on their radiant systems in some time. The company has since shifted their focus to bio mass and solar electric applications and consulting. Foward this post to your customer, if they do any research on this issue I think they will find plenty of info on it.
