Anyone have any tips/suggestions on Buderus indirects? Problems? Raves? I assume they are as good as the rest of Buderus stuff.
Comparing the ST-200 with a Crown MegaStor MS-53. Both 53 gallons.
Thanks.

I have used all different size Buderus IDWH, and have been pleased. Plenty of hot water. No problems so far. I haven't used the Megastor before.0 -
Buderus indirects
We have installed several and the only problem we've had is with the parallel threads on the ST and LT tanks. We have gone to putting unions on these so its easy to fix. Remember to leave a recepticle nearby for the anode rod. The SU models are a great competetive model. I like when a boiler/indirect setup matches and this is a great looking combo.0 -
Have put in a bunch of 'em
Zero problems. In regards to the straight cut threads...... They are prone to drip. Use the heavy teflon tape that comes with the indirect, then goop them with pipe dope. Buderus sends Rectorseal T+2 with. We have been using Leak Lock and the heavy tape with flawless results. Unions are a good practice in any case.0
